Webificando

"Webificando" is the podcast where I actively participate. We have a public section and a premium section where we interview people and share our experiences doing SideProjects, respectively. Several of these parallel projects can also be seen in the portfolio section of menetray.com.

It was created in Drupal 9 and is a good example of how easy it is to set up a simple website with Drupal. The contents were migrated from the old website made in Wordpress.

The old Wordpress hosted the episodes of the public version podcasts, which were migrated to Anchor. The new website is automatically updated with the new episodes that are published on Anchor. This was done for ease and improvements in podcast statistics. Drupal does not have a module that allows publishing a podcast and provides a level of service similar to what Anchor offers, especially in the area of statistics and without having to pay for hosting the audios and their bandwidth consumption.

Another need for the new website was to have a section where the premium podcast episodes hosted on Mumbler.io could be viewed. In the same way, an automated migration was made that detects each new Mumbler episode and autopublishes it on the website. This is interesting for SEO and marketing, as we previously did not give that podcast visibility.

In addition to these two distinct podcast sections, we needed a section to have a blog and write articles with SEO in mind.

To present all of this, a custom-made theme using Tailwind was used. The idea was to give it a modern visual style and use the corporate brand colors.

This has been our own project, prioritizing low cost and rapid execution. I have taken care of everything, from frontend by making a custom theme, sitebuilding configuration, the creation of custom modules for automated podcast migration, and of course, configuring a low-cost server to host the website.
