What I Analyze

Complete technical audit

1. Performance

  • Cache configuration across all Views
  • Memcache, Redis, Varnish, CDN modules
  • Slow database queries
  • N+1 queries
  • Unoptimized assets (unminified CSS/JS)
  • BigPipe, lazy loading and other useful modules configuration
  • Bad practices that constantly invalidate caches on your pages

2. Technical SEO

  • Use of optimized image styles
  • Schema markup and structured data (AEO)
  • URL alias and hreflang management
  • URL redirect management
  • XML sitemap and robots.txt
  • Meta tags and Open Graph

3. Code Quality

  • Compliance with Drupal Coding Standards
  • Correct use of internal Drupal APIs
  • Deprecated hooks
  • Applied patches
  • Outdated dependencies
  • Bad practices in Twig files or PHP files

4. Core, Modules and Drupal Themes

  • List of custom modules/themes
  • List of community Contrib modules/themes, and if they need updating
  • Core and PHP version, and if it needs updating

Second opinion from a Senior with 13+ years in Drupal

Why me

No conflict of interest

  • You can fix it yourself, have your current agency do it, or hire whoever you want.
  • I don't force you to contract a package of hours for me to fix it.
  • You only hire me for the analysis and I give you all the data in a PDF report.

Real production experience

  • I've migrated many sites from Drupal 7 to 8, 9, 10, 11.
  • I've worked on many multilingual websites (some with 19 languages).
  • I've optimized government portals and multinational websites with millions of visits.
  • I've worked with massive databases of tens of GBs in Drupal.
  • I know exactly where to look. I've been working exclusively with Drupal for many years.

Proven methodology

  • I use automated tools (PHPStan, PHPCS) + custom scripts + expert manual review.
  • That's exactly why I can offer such a reduced price for this type of analysis.

Clear language

  • The report is understood by both your CEO and your junior developer.
  • No unnecessary jargon. Giving useful recommendations for your project.

Cases where an audit helps you

Do you recognize any of these symptoms?

My Drupal has problems but I don't know what they are

Something's not right. Sometimes it's slow. Sometimes it gives errors. The code is a mystery. You need a complete professional diagnosis.

I don't know if my code is secure

Are there vulnerabilities? Are the modules updated? Does the custom code follow best practices? Security is not optional.

My agency charges me a lot and I don't see improvements

The invoices go up but the problems remain. Are they doing their job right? You need an objective audit from someone external.

I inherited this project and I don't trust the code

You don't know if it's well architected or a disaster. Does it follow Drupal standards? Are there time bombs waiting to explode?

It works, but... is it done right?

Your Drupal works. But you don't know if it's been configured with SEO and performance best practices in mind. Technical debt accumulates silently.

SEO doesn't improve despite creating content

You publish, optimize, but Google doesn't want you. There are probably technical issues sabotaging your marketing efforts.

From your code to your report, in less than 2 weeks

How it works

Secure access
You give me read access to your repository (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).
I never touch your live website or access your database.
I don't ask you for login credentials to production.
I don't even need a copy of your database.

Deep analysis
I scan your code and Drupal configuration looking for performance, security, SEO, code quality, and configurable issues.

Detailed report
I organize the findings by priority and impact. You receive a PDF document with every issue found, the real impact, and exactly how to fix it.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you need access to my server?

No. I only need read-only access to your Git repository.

How much development time do the improvements take?

It depends on what I find, and who implements those changes.
In the report I include rough time estimates for each issue. Typically: Quick wins (1-2 hours), medium issues (1-2 days), large refactoring (1-2 weeks).

What if you find something critical security-wise?

I'll notify you immediately by email, I won't wait for the final report. Security can't wait 7 days.

Do you work with Drupal 7?

No. Only Drupal 9, 10 and 11. If you have Drupal 7, you need a migration, not an audit.

Can you implement the improvements afterwards?

I can, but that's another service (hour package). The audit is independent. There's no obligation to hire me after. In fact, I prefer you use your current team if they work well and you have good communication with them.

What if my code is perfect and you don't find anything?

In 13+ years I've never seen a perfect Drupal. There's always something to improve. But if your Drupal is exceptionally well done, the report serves as a quality certification and you can request a refund from me.

What about your refund guarantee?

Simple: you pay 350€ upfront.
If I don't find relevant issues that justify the analysis, I refund you 100%.
"Relevant" means at least 5-10 issues that impact performance, security or code quality.

Can I see a sample before I pay?

Yes, but it costs more.
Option A: You pay 350€ upfront and if there's no value, full refund.
Option B: I do the analysis for free, I send you 2-3 sample pages.
If you want the full report, it's 1,050€ (for being suspicious). 99% choose option A.

Do you audit contrib modules?

I mention known issues and suggest alternatives, but I don't audit third-party modules line by line. I focus on your custom code and configuration.

How can you do a deep analysis without database or server access?

Good question.
A "perfect" analysis would require copying your production database, setting up a local environment, doing load tests with K6/JMeter, installing New Relic or Datadog in production, using profilers like Blackfire to measure every call, analyzing server logs, reviewing Apache/Nginx configuration, etc.

All of that is many hours of work. It would cost you 5,000€+ minimum. And it requires full access to your infrastructure, which many clients don't want to give (for good reason).

With my solution, I've automated and optimized the process so much that with just Git access I can do 80% of the analysis.

But that 80% includes the most common and critical issues. And you get it for 350€ in a few days, not 5,000€+ in weeks/months.

If afterwards you want the complete analysis with production access, you can do it through hourly packages (with me or other freelancers/agencies).

But keep in mind that 90% of clients find most issues with this initial analysis.

Have Any Project in Mind?

If you want to do something in Drupal maybe you can hire me.

Either for consulting, development or maintenance of Drupal websites.
