Who's behind this

Hi, I'm Robert.

I've been working with Drupal for over 15 years. I'm a full stack developer, although my specialty is the backend: performance, scalability and code that stands the test of time. I also take care of the frontend when the project calls for it.

For some time now I've worked with the help of artificial intelligence, which lets me spend my hours on what really matters, making good decisions and reviewing every change.

I like giving back to the community what it has given me. I have more than 10 modules contributed on drupal.org, Audit among them, and I host Drupalízate, a podcast about Drupal.

Why web projects get more expensive or run late

Good, fast and cheap. You used to have to pick two.

If you wanted it good and fast, you needed more people on the team, and that isn't cheap. If you wanted it fast and cheap, the code was written in a hurry, with no thought for maintenance or how the project would grow. And if you wanted it good and cheap, it usually fell to one person or a small team that got overwhelmed quickly, so every new feature took a while to arrive.

One of the three legs was always wobbly. With AI used well, you no longer have to choose.

With AI and 15 years of experience, all three legs at once.

AI, quality control and follow-up in a single method

My hour costs more. Your project costs less.

AI codes, I direct

I work with several AI agents specialized in backend, theming, tests and code review. They do in hours what used to take me days. I make the architecture and the important decisions, and I review every change before delivering it.

Quality you can verify

All code goes through static analysis, Drupal coding standards and automated tests before it reaches your repository. If something doesn't pass, it isn't delivered.

Follow-up after delivery

Every client gets a free DruScan account, my monitoring service. You see all your Drupal sites in a single dashboard, with their security score, updates, performance and code quality, plus everything still pending a fix. That way you always see the work that's left and the work that's done.

Audit and DruScan, my quality tools

I'm not asking you to believe me. I'll show you the report.

I'm the developer of Audit, a contributed Drupal module that analyzes a site and finds its leaks in security, code quality, performance and configuration. I created it precisely to keep quality up when coding with artificial intelligence. DruScan gathers those reports from all your sites and environments in a single dashboard.

Four steps, no surprises

First I understand your project. Then I speed it up.

Diagnosis

In a few hours I analyze your site or what you need and give you an honest opinion of what it would cost.

Hour bank

You buy a prepaid hour bank, with no minimum. Only the real hours are deducted, and whatever is left stays available for one year. It is not refundable.

Development with AI

The agents code and I review. You get frequent deliveries you can test from day one.

Delivery and follow-up

I take it to production and leave it monitored with DruScan so it keeps running well.

What people usually ask me before we start

FAQ

If you use AI, does a machine write the code?

AI writes a first draft, but I decide the architecture and review every change before delivering it. It works like a very fast team with a senior supervising everything, and I stand behind the result just like I always have.

Why is your hourly rate higher?

Because an hour of mine fits a lot more work than it used to. What counts in the end is the total cost of the project, and there I usually come out below what a traditional team would cost.

Do you work with a fixed price or by the hour?

I work with prepaid hour banks, with no minimum. When I don't know your project or its code yet, a fixed price forces me to inflate the quote to cover the unknown. I prefer to start with a small bank to analyze what you need and give you an honest opinion of what it would cost. After that, in the same bank or a new one, I do the work and only the real hours are deducted. Whatever is left stays available for one year and is not refunded.

Do you offer maintenance plans?

Yes. It's a fixed monthly fee that depends on what you need, such as security updates, frequency, included hours or monitoring with DruScan. You can work out yours in the maintenance configurator.

Can you work with my agency's team?

Yes. I can join your team using your repositories, workflows and tools, or take on complete projects that you manage afterwards.

Do you work on projects another team started?

Yes, and it's what I do most. Agencies that need backup or companies with an inherited Drupal that nobody wants to touch. I always start with a diagnosis to know exactly where the project stands.

Which Drupal versions do you work with?

All of them, from Drupal 7 to Drupal 11, including migrations from Drupal 7 and upgrades between major versions. I only work with Drupal, so it's what I spend all my time on.

What about the confidentiality of my code and data?

I work in my local environment with a sanitized copy of the database. Sensitive data, like users' emails, is anonymized beforehand, so the AI never gets to see it. If you need it, we sign a non-disclosure agreement. For projects where privacy is critical I also have my own local AI server, so nothing goes out to companies like OpenAI or Anthropic. That said, if you let me use those services the work moves a lot faster.
